AMMAN, July 13 (Xinhua) -- The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) on Sunday dispatched a new aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, amid worsening humanitarian conditions in the Palestinian enclave.

The convoy, comprising 50 trucks carrying food supplies, was organized in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces and the World Food Programme (WFP), the JHCO said in a statement.

The aid is directed to northern Gaza, where residents face acute shortages of essential goods due to continued supply chain disruptions and ongoing conflict.

A separate shipment carrying 3,000 units of blood is also being delivered to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza to help address a critical shortage.

According to medical sources in Gaza, the strip requires around 400 blood units daily to meet urgent needs.

Since the start of the crisis, Jordan has sent 7,815 trucks and 53 cargo planes via Egypt's Al-Arish, in addition to 102 helicopter missions as part of its ongoing humanitarian air and land bridge to Gaza. Additional relief projects have also been carried out in cooperation with partner organizations. Enditem
